More than 200 Palestinian sports clubs have called on Puma to end the sponsorship deal and stop supporting Israel’s illegal land grabs.

Puma markets itself as a company that cares about equality yet it funds the apartheid the IFA helps sustain.

In July 2018 it was announced that Adidas was no longer sponsoring the IFA following an international campaign and the delivery of over 16,000 signatures to Adidas headquarters.

We can do this again. Join Palestinian athletes calling for a boycott of Puma until it ends its support for Israel’s illegal land grabs.

Israeli Apartheid is Not a Game

Millions of Palestinians live under Israel’s brutal and illegal military occupation. They have the same rights as everyone to an existence free from ongoing colonisation, discrimination and persecution, and free from an entrenched system of apartheid.

The Boycott Divestment and Sanctions campaign asks that we boycott companies profiting from Israel’s dispossession and persecution of Palestinians. One such company is global sportswear manufacturer Puma. Puma is the main sponsor of the Israel Football Association (IFA), which includes teams in Israel’s illegal settlements which are on stolen Palestinian land.

Puma’s sponsorship of the IFA makes it directly complicit with Israel’s breaches of international law and human rights resolutions. In Australia, Puma is a major sponsor of:

  • Queensland Maroons
  • NSW Blues
  • Athletics Australia
  • Melbourne City FC
  • Carlton Footbal Club
  • Richmond Football Club
  • The Melbourne Vixens

More than 200 Palestinian sports clubs have called on Puma to stop supporting Israel’s illegal settlements. We all can make a difference by not buying Puma until it stops supporting Israel’s land theft and apartheid.

And we can call on Australian sporting clubs to do the same.
